No limits to effective fire detection
Where conventional fire alarms reach their limits, the protection of humans, valuables, and the environment becomes more important than ever. Corrosive gases, extreme humidity, high temperatures, and polluted air create complex requirements. A sudden outbreak of a fire can have disastrous consequences. Prevention demands a split-second alarm. It can reduce damage, lower liability, and save human lives. |

Proved electronic alarm evaluation
The ADW 511 is secure against false alarms and breakdowns. The proved principle, installed thousands of times worldwide, is immune to electrical, thermal, and mechanical disruptions. Users universally trust total protection by SECURITON. Electronic evaluation allows fast and safe fire detection. |
| Reliable performance
The ADW 511 uses the physics principle of pressure shifts in gases caused by temperature changes within a constant volume. The copper sensor tube measures variances in ambient temperature over a distance of 130 meters. An electronic pressure detector is attached to the end of the air-filled sensor tube. An increase in temperataure raises the pressure within the sensor tube.
In parallel, a monitoring motor with a pressurizing pump generates excess pressure at regular intervals within the sensor tube. If the actually measured pressure increase does not correspond to the programmed value, the fault signal is activated.
Response sensitivity can be adjusted to the operating conditions via a serial interface. The desired values for temperature increase per minute and the maximum temperature for an alarm response can be programmed. The ADW 511 measures heat differential and maximum temperature. The new instrument meets the international standard EN 54 and is VdS and UL certified. |
| Versatile applications
Dangers of fire and explosion are numerous. The ADW 511 provide effective protection in many situations: |
Rail, road and underground tunnels |
Train stations, passenger waiting rooms, airport concourses |
Locomotive and tram depots |
Multi-level underground and half-open car parks, in which parked cars provide the risk |
Warehouses for inflammable gases and liquids |
Refilling stations for combustibles and open loading bays |
Explosion hazard zones |
Mines and conveyors |
Drilling rigs |
Chemical and pharmaceutical plants, painting plants and numerous other industries |
| The SecuriSens® has tunnel vision A fire alarm system must detect a fire within seconds. In tunnels, the ADW 511 perfectly meets the special demands on a fire alarm system: Complete monitoring over the entire length thanks to the linear arrangement of the sensor tube at the mid-point of the tunnel
Adjustable sensitivity allows the best possible adaptation to the ambient conditions
Immune to external influences
Insensitive to aggressive, dusty and humid ambient conditions
Easy maintenance The construction and the design of the new ADW 511 fire alarm systems mean reliable operation. Maintenance is minimal. The sensor tube is maintenance free. Functional tests, measurements of response levels, and necessary adjustments can conveniently be done at the evaluation unit, without disturbing the traffic. To date, more than 400 kilometers of road tunnels have been equipped with the ADW fire alarm system. The number of protected objects increases every year: |
