Intelligence increases lifetimes

The ORS 142 Smoke Switch from HEKATRON is the first device to combine many performance

Sensing chamber monitoring

As a result of the innovative intelligent principle of synchronisation of sensing chamber monitoring and auto drift compensation, the ORS 142 can check the current contamination status of the sensing chamber and continuously adapt the alarm threshold to the measured values. Expensive false alarms are thus prevented and alarm sensitivity remains
constant - raising the operating lifetime.

The contamination indicator

The ORS 142 need only be replaced when a false alarm could be triggered as a result of excessive contamination. The LED indicator provides a variety of signals to show whether replacement is needed soon or immediately (see Smoke Switch states).

Another aspect that must not be neglected: the ORS 142 is downwardly compatible with its predecessors. Existing systems can thus be rapidly and easily upgraded to the current state of the art.

The ORS 142 is particularly aesthetically attractive as a result of its new flat housing.

Auto drift compensation

The current level of contamination of the ORS 142 is intelligently checked by the auto drift compensation and the alarm threshold continuously adapted. The auto drift compensation maintains a constant gap between the basic signal and the alarm threshold. The Smoke
Switch always "knows" how much contamination is to be taken into account as an interfering factor. The major advantage of auto drift compensation is that it considerably increases the lifetime of the ORS 142.
